Atom Pavilion in Moscow, Russia. © UNK Project

The Atom Pavilion will become a new landmark at the VDNKH, the famous Soviet trade show and amusement park. Built from scratch, the seven-story building with three underground floors will house an ambitious permanent exhibition about the nuclear industry focusing on its history, its technology, and its cultural values. Lorem Ipsum has developed the exhibition’s concept, content, and design.

The exhibition consists of several thematic zones. When working on the exhibition, the creative team used various approaches to experience design: complex immersive spaces that include detailed historical reconstructions; large-scale installations, which demonstrate the impressive achievements of the nuclear industry; multimedia shows and interactive displays; and a separate edutainment zone for children and teenagers.

The Atom Pavilion is set to open in 2021. The architectural concept for the building was developed by the architectural bureau UNK Project.
